Congratulations to our own Erin Bowman who is in great company here on this Edgar Award nominee list. The Edgar Awards are presented by the Mystery Writers of America. The Edgar Awards, named after the one and only Edgar Allen Poe, honors the best in mystery fiction and nonfiction. We’re thrilled to see Erin’s space thriller, Contagion, in the Best of Young Adult Fiction! Hurrah!

November saw multiple book loving conferences across the states. David Elliott spoke about his upcoming title VOICES: The Final Hours of Joan of Arc at ALAN. This novel in verse is bound to be a hit in classrooms when it comes out in March 2019.

Terry Farish poses with some readers at Dr. Crisp School in Nashua, NH at a recent CLiF (Children’s Literacy Foundation) presentation. At this visit, Terry shared Joseph’s Big Ride, which is a book about a refugee who arrives in America and is faced with a whole new culture and many new experiences. This book is part of the I’m Your Neighbor Welcoming Library of Portland Maine. It looks like the book was well-received at the Dr. Crisp school!
