Happy Book Birthday to Terry Farish and Lochan Sharma! This novel, told in alternating viewpoints, is a love story with a political edge. Gabe and Olive want to get married and settle down. When Samir Paudel moves in with his family across the street, Olive quickly befriends a few of Samir’s large family. Gabe, on the other hand is threatened by their very existence. This tale goes deep and humanizes characters on both sides of the immigration debate. Essential reading!
Find Terry and Lochan at Gibson’s Book Store of Concord on August 11th at 2pm.
